A Give-A-Way for Mother's Day

I made an awesome handbag for this give-a-way...featuring some beautiful Amy Butler prints and a fabulous vintage brown swiss dot print. I really am having to make myself give this one away.

To enter, tell me your best "mom" story... it can be funny, sad, the best thing about her or just whatever. Basically, Tell me Why your MOM ROCKS!!!

Me and my family will pick a winner out of all the entries received by Midnight Friday, May 15th. The lucky winner will be notified Monday morning!

If you are from out of town, I'll be glad to ship this out to your mom!

Here's a peek...

My mom rocks because several years ago when I was going through a rough patch of anxiety, she held my hand and got me through it. And then when it was time she pushed me out on my own and taught me how to deal with it myself.
I thought she was so mean for doing that but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise because only then did I learn that I could handle it on my own and be confident again.
I will always be grateful for that.

My mom has been my rock. She is there for me when I need a babysitter in a pinch, a ear to vent my frustration in and a very loving person. She has encouraged me to follow my dreams of being and school teacher and I am doing it even if I feel I am to old. She has shared her love with many of my close friends and treats them as they are hers. I will always look to her for guidence and advice. Yes I still call for cooking instructions and other stuff too. I will never be to old to need my mom.

Okay, I love that purse and so would my mom. My mom rocks beacause she made it a priority for me to see the world. We traveled every chance we got, and even though sometimes we put up a fight or thought it was corny, my mom made sure we saw all of the historical, geographical, and important sites wherever we were. Now I appreciate that so much and want to instill that feeling that the world is more than just you in my own children.
The funniest story, I think, is when we were taking off on our first girl trip - no husbands or dads - and I sat all of the suitcases behind the van assuming that someone else would load them. Usually, that is a man job! Anyway, we hopped in, had the music on, ready to beebop down the road and backed over all of our luggage. We just looked at each other...the men in our lives still do not know that one!
